
Houston Dynamo FC Waive Midfielder Joe Corona

HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC waived and exercised its one offseason buyout of a guaranteed contract on midfielder Joe Corona, the Club announced today.
"Joe is a top professional with great character," Dynamo general manager Pat Onstad said. "We are grateful for his time at the club and wish him well with the next steps of his career."
Corona signed for the Dynamo on Dec. 31, 2020 following his selection by Austin FC in Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Process. Corona ultimately chose to sign with Houston and appeared in 30 games for the club in 2021. The 31-year-old tallied two assists in 2021 and played 1,731 minutes for the team.
The Dynamo now have 27 players on the roster for the 2022 MLS regular season following this transaction.
