CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union played Atlanta United FC on Sunday afternoon at Mercedes Benz Stadium, falling 2-0. With the loss, the Union are tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 34 points. Thiago Almada opened the scoring for Atlanta in the seventh minute following a set piece. Brooks Lennon doubled the lead in the 79th minute to make it 2-0.
The Union travel to Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, July 8th (10:30 p.m. ET / Apple TV), where they will face LA Galaxy.
