
Atlanta Hawks Assign Edy Tavares to NBA Development League

ATLANTA, GA - The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club has assigned center Walter "Edy" Tavares to the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League, pursuant to the flexible assignment rule, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations/Head Coach Mike Budenholzer.
In D-League play this year, Tavares has appeared in four contests (two with Canton and two with Austin), putting up 10.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 24.1 minutes (.667 FG%, .857 FT%). He has played in four games with the Hawks this season.
