
Atlanta Dream Announces Key Hires In Preparation For 2010 Season

ATLANTA, March 16, 2010 -The Atlanta Dream has hired Beth Kelley, director of sponsorship; Bobby Phillips, director of ticket sales & service; and Lauren Brooks, account executive, it was announced today by Team President Toby Wyman.
"The Dream is proud to bring Beth, Bobby and Lauren to our team and are excited to round out our front office staff," said Wyman. "As we prepare for our third season, it is our goal that the Dream would be a winning team on the court, on the balance sheet and in the hearts of Atlantans. Through their experiences with the WNBA and other entertainment properties, these three individuals understand what it takes to meet our goals and put forth the very best product."
Beth Kelley brings 8 years experience in sponsorship sales and client servicing in the Atlanta market, as well as a diverse background in the sports and entertainment industries. In roles with Simon Property Group, Cumulus Broadcasting and Live Nation, Kelley has been responsible for sponsorship and advertising sales of local and regional companies for multiple venues, festivals and radio stations. At Live Nation, she consistently sold more than $1 million in sponsorship deals each year. An Atlanta native, Kelley graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in education with a concentration in sports studies and business.
Phillips joins the Dream with nearly 10 years experience at Maloof Sports and Entertainment in Sacramento. During his time with Maloof Sports, Phillips was promoted within the company from a ticket service account executive to the director of group sales. As director of group ticket sales, Phillips generated more than $3 million in total revenue, increasing total revenue by 68 percent for the Kings, Monarchs and ARCO Arena events. He exceeded ticket sales goals and records throughout his tenure with the group. Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science in communication and electronic media from Western Carolina University.
Brooks also comes to the Dream from Maloof Sports and Entertainment. She served the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs as an account executive. Upon the loss of the team, Brooks, a North Carolina native, moved east to bring experience with the league to the Dream. Brooks graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising.
The Dream tips off its third season this summer at Philips Arena with the home opener slated for May 16 against the Indiana Fever at 7 p.m. Season tickets and ticket packages are now available for purchase by calling (877)977-7729 or visiting www.AtlantaDream.net.
