HOUSTON - Josh Banks, Jason Bourgeois and Yordany Ramirez were named Round Rock Express Players of the Month for May, the Houston Astros Player Development Department announced Thursday. Banks was named pitcher of the month, Bourgeois earned offensive player of the month honors, and Ramirez was selected defensive player of the month.

Banks was 4-1 with a 3.62 ERA in six starts during May, tying for the Pacific Coast League lead in wins on the month. He was perfect through his first five starts in May with one no-decision before losing at Omaha in his final start. Banks is tied for third in the PCL with six wins on the season and entered his start Thursday night at New Orleans second in the league in innings.

Bourgeois earned offensive player of the month honors for the second consecutive month. He hit .387 (46-for-119) with 13 extra-base hits and 17 RBI in 29 May games. He entered Thursday night's game fourth as the PCL leader with 72 hits this season; he also ranked fourth in the league in batting average (.355) and stolen bases (17). Bourgeois also totes a 17-game hitting streak, tied for the PCL's third-longest streak this season and the league's longest active streak.

Ramirez has a .988 fielding percentage with five outfield assists in 36 games this season. A steady outfielder who can play all three positions, Ramirez robbed two home runs during a 5-3 Express road trip to Salt Lake and Colorado Springs.

Round Rock returns to The Dell Diamond for its fifth home stand Friday, June 18, opening a four-game series against the Omaha Royals with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch.
