
Fireworks, Doubleheaders, & Taco Bell Throwback Thursday Highlight Sounds Homestand

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return home to historic Greer Stadium this Monday, June 14, to open a 10-game homestand against the cross-state-rival Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals affiliate) and Oklahoma City RedHawks (Rangers affiliate).
Highlighting the week's worth of promotions will be two fireworks shows, two doubleheaders, Autograph Day, and Taco Bell Throwback Thursday.
The Sounds welcome the Memphis Redbirds back to Greer, as the division-rivals will play six games over four days to make up a pair of early May rainouts. Memphis and Nashville are currently tied for first place atop the PCL American Conference North Division this season.
Monday's 7:05 p.m. homestand opener is Dollar Hot Dog Night at Greer, where fans are able to purchase hot dogs for $1 each. Gates open at 5:35 p.m.
Tuesday's doubleheader with the Redbirds will consist of two seven-inning games, with the first contest scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. It is KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, where fans will be able to bring in a KRAFT Singles package wrapper/proof of purchase to the box office for a Buy One Ticket, Get One Free offer. Gates open at 4:35 p.m.
Following a single game on Wednesday night, Thursday's doubleheader with the Redbirds will consist of two seven-inning games, with the first contest scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. on Taco Bell Throwback Thursday. The Sounds will be wearing retro 1980s-style uniforms, while fans have the opportunity to enjoy concession stands filled with discounted pricing, such as $2 beer, $2 soft drinks, $2 hot dogs, $2 popcorn, and $2 nachos. College students also receive a $5 General Admission ticket with a college ID. Beer sales on the concourse will conclude at 9:00 p.m., while Slugger's will sell until the end of the second game. Gates open at 4:35 p.m.
Making their final visit to Greer this season, the Oklahoma City RedHawks will open a four-game series beginning at 7:05 p.m. on Friday. With Firestone Friday Fireworks on tap after the game, Friday is another great night to come out to the ballpark. Gates open at 5:35 p.m. Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase of Crook & Chase Country Music Stars will make an appearance and throw ceremonial first pitches before the game.
For Saturday's 6:35 p.m. contest with the RedHawks, FirstBank will be giving away kids T-Shirts to the first 1,000 kids 12 and under through the turnstiles, while also sponsoring postgame fireworks on Saturday night. Gates open at 5:05 p.m.
Sunday afternoon's 2:05 p.m. contest features Purity Sundae Sunday with $1 ice cream sundaes at Greer Stadium. It is Autograph Day, where a pre-game autograph session will take place on field with members of the Sounds team and coaching staff. Ozzie's Kids Club members receive free admission to Sunday games. The homestand finale with Oklahoma City takes place at 7:05 p.m. on Monday evening and it will be Dollar Hot Dog Day at Greer, where fans are able to purchase hot dogs for $1 each. Game time is 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 5:35 p.m.
Following the homestand, Nashville will travel three hours west for a four-game series against the division-rival Memphis Redbirds before returning to Greer Stadium on Saturday, June 26, to open a seven-game homestand with the Round Rock Express (Astros affiliate) and New Orleans Zephyrs (Marlins affiliate).
