Guelph Storm News Release

Storm assistant coach Luca Caputi has been hired by the Kingston Frontenacs and will take on the role of associate coach effective immediately. Luca joined the Storm in 2015-16 as a member of Bill Stewart's coaching staff. He spent a total of three seasons behind the bench working with Jarrod Skalde and last season with current Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett.

"Luca has been a valuable member of the Storm coaching staff for three seasons," said Burnett. This is a wonderful opportunity for Luca to advance his coaching career, and although we will miss him, we wish him all the best with the new challenge ahead in Kingston."

Caputi played his entire OHL career with the IceDogs franchise, from 2004 to 2008. He was drafted in the 4th round, 111th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and played 8 seasons of pro hockey, with teams including the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, Syracuse Crunch and the Norfolk Admirals.

"I would like to thank the Storm ownership and management for giving me my first coaching opportunity," said Caputi. "I would also like to thank my fellow coaches and mentors for helping me become the coach I am today. I'd like to thank the equipment and training staff for their friendship and guidance, and of course the players for always wanting to get better. I'd like to wish the Guelph Storm organization all the best this season and in the future."
