Moncton Wildcats News Release
District 2 Community Schools, the Moncton Wildcats and Downtown Moncton have partnered together to bring you an exciting program called Art on Ice.
Art on Ice is designed to help raise much needed funds for Community School programs such as the Breakfast Programs, art programs and many more.
Art students in grades 1 through 5 from Magnetic Hill, Beaverbrook, Forest Glen, Shediac Cape and Port Elgin schools have created collaborative art pieces that will be on display at the Moncton Coliseum during Moncton Wildcats home games through the month of December as well as at various downtown Moncton businesses.
These pieces will be auctioned via a silent auction beginning December 1st at the Moncton Wildcats game against the Lewiston MAINEiacs. Some of the pieces will also be on display at the Downtown Moncton office (Assumption Place), Blue Cross Atrium and Moncton City Hall.
The public is encouraged to bid on the art pieces by entering their name, contact information and bid on the auction sheet associated to the piece of art they wish to bid on. Winners will be contacted and announced at the December 31st Wildcats game against the Saint John Sea Dogs.
School District 2 and Community Schools, the Moncton Wildcats and Downtown Moncton would like to thank you in advance for your support in this worthwhile cause.
