Arneson Returns to Dragons Roster

Dayton, OH - LHP Jamie Arneson has returned to the Dayton Dragons after a promotion by the Cincinnati Reds from the GCL Reds. Arneson, a 16th round selection in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, began the season with the Dragons before being transferred to the Billings Mustangs on May 29th. Arneson then appeared in five games, all starts, with the GCL Reds before getting transferred back to the Dragons. The left hander went 2-3 with a 4.29 ERA in 21.0 innings in the Gulf Coast League.

To make room for Arneson, the Reds have placed LHP Travis Webb on the disabled list retroactive to July 15, 2007 with an ingrown nail on the big toe of his left foot. In 20 games with the Dragons, 16 as a starter, Webb is 6-4 with a 3.63 ERA. In 84.1 innings of work, Webb has allowed 81 hits and has struck out 81 while walking 36.

The Dragons active roster remains at 25 players.
