Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs' Brent Kelly has been named the CHL Oakley Player of the Week for the week of 10-23.
Kelly missed opening weekend action due to immigration delays and in his first two games this past week against New Mexico and Amarillo, he helped the Sundogs to a 2-0-0 record, netting three goals and three assists, including the game winner against the Scorpions Friday night and the shootout game winner against the Gorillas on Sunday.
The Kitchener, Ontario native scored the first ever goal in the new Santa Ana Star Center during the first period and netted the game winner, his second of the game in the third. On Sunday evening against Amarillo, Kelly had helpers on the Sundogs' first two goals in the first period and one in the third on Chris Bartolone's powerplay goal. With three assists, Kelly would also put home the shootout game winner.
Kelly's six points in his first two games has earned him CHL Oakley Player of the Week honors for the week of 10-23.
