LHP Ryan Lawlor makes his Mudcats and full season league debut tonight against the Red Sox. Lawlor was drafted by the Braves in the 8th round of the 2015 MLB draft and pitched for the Danville Braves last season. He was 1-0 and pitched to a 2.30 ERA over eight games and seven starts in first professional season with Danville in 2015. Salem leads the series 1-0 after a 13-4 drubbing of the Mudcats last night and will start RHP Travis Lakins in game two of the season opening series.
Tonight's game begins at 7:05 p.m. at LewisGale Field in Salem, VA and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:50 p.m.
