Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (April 8, 2016) - TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark will host the Color Burst 5K, producers of colorful running events across America, on Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m. The family-friendly 5K fun run, presented by Tidelands Health, will take place prior to the Pelicans' home game against the Potomac Nationals.
The CB5K experience brings people from all walks of life together in a technicolor burst of energy and excitement, blending color, music and 'good vibes' against the backdrop of a 5K fun-run suitable for the entire family. The event differs from traditional 5Ks by including two key elements of fun: amazing music and gallons of gloriously colored paint. At each interval along the course, CB5K crew blast each participant with non-toxic, hypoallergenic, washable, water-based paint from the sidelines.
Aside from this amazing twist on the typical 5K, guests will be treated to an interactive pre-party and post-party at the fully branded CB5K stage with DJs, MCs, giveaways and family-focused fun.
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will be working alongside Color Burst 5K to donate a portion of the race ticket sale proceeds to the team's charitable partner, the Tidelands Health Foundation.
Race registration is available at www.colorburst5k.com with a limited number of early bird tickets available. Each early bird ticket will include a free CB5K t-shirt, a CB5K headband and a personal-sized bottle of CB5K color to use on event day. As part of its commitment to making this run and event a family affair, Color Burst 5K & the Myrtle Beach Pelicans will offer free entry to all children, ages 2 and under, when accompanied by a registered adult.
All tickets to CB5K include a game ticket to the Pelicans' 6:05 p.m. contest against Potomac. Myrtle Beach will wear special paint-splashed neon swatch jerseys that will be auctioned following the game, with all proceeds further benefitting the Tidelands Health Foundation.
The 5K is a rain or shine event. Come early for the pre-party, and the run begins at 2:00 p.m. More details to follow.
