SALT LAKE CITY (May 11, 2010) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Bobby Cassevah and activated right-handed pitcher Fernando Rodriguez.

Cassevah, 24, made his major league debut with the Angels on April 9 against the Oakland A's and has appeared in three games for the Halos in 2010. In 10 games of relief for the Bees this season, he owns a 1-1 record with a 3.09 ERA and seven strikeouts. The Jacksonville, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 34th round of the 2004 draft.

Rodriguez, 25, was designated for assignment on May 7. He has appeared in seven games for the Bees in 2010, registering a 9.00 ERA. In 23 games for the Bees in 2009, he owned a 1-1 record with 25 strikeouts. In 26 games for Double-A Arkansas last season, he registered a 3-1 record with a 1.28 ERA and 52 strikeouts. The El Paso, Texas native was originally selected by the Angels in the 18th round of the 2003 draft.
