Andreoff Selected by The LA Kings in The 3rd Round

St. Paul, Minnesota - Oshawa Generals forward Andy Andreoff has been selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 3rd round, 80th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Andreoff, a native of Pickering, Ontario had a career season with the Generals in which he set career highs in almost every category. The 20-year-old registered 33 goals and 42 assists for 75 points in 66 regular season games. He also led the team with 109 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of +34. In the 2011 Playoffs, he totalled 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points in 10 games.

"I'm very pleased and proud of Andy for where he has come over the last four years here in Oshawa," said Generals Head Coach and General Manager Chris DePiero. "He deserves everything he gets, and has worked very hard to achieve this goal. His character and work ethic are so strong, we couldn't be happier for him."

Andreoff was originally selected by the Generals in the 5th round of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. He made the team as a 16-year old and has been a mainstay ever sense. In his four seasons with the Generals he has registered 59 goals and 90 assists for 149 points in 224 games.
