
Rieder Chosen by Edmonton Oilers in 4th Round

Rangers winger Tobias Rieder was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round (114th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Rieder compiled 23 goals and 26 assists for 49 points in 65 games during his rookie season in 2010-11. A native of Landshut, Germany, he was selected by the Rangers with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 CHL Import Draft.
He suited up for Team Germany at the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championships were he picked up a goal and an assist in six games. He also skated for his country at the 2011 IIHF World U-18 Championships held in Germany where he led his team in goals (3) and plus/minus (+1) in six games.
