Cramarossa Selected by The Anaheim Ducks in The Third Round

Minneapolis, MN- The Anaheim Ducks have selected Majors centre Joe Cramarossa in the third round of the NHL Entry Draft.

Cramarossa, 18, just completed his second season with the Majors. In his young career he has already accumulated a lot of playoff experience with 28 post season games to his credit. He has six points and 17 penalty minutes in those games. He also competed in all five games the Majors played at the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Mississauga. In the regular season, Cramarossa has been a consistent contributor for the double blue. After appearing in 64 games in his rookie season and chipping in with 16 points, Joe had a breakout season in 2010-11. Playing in five fewer games this past year, Cramarossa doubled his point total to 32 (12 goals and 20 assists). He also displayed a lot of toughness, serving 101 penalty minutes. The Markham, ON native stands 6'0" tall and weighs in at 190 pounds.

This is the second time in as many years that the Ducks have selected a Major. Last year, they took Devante Smith-Pelly in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft.
