Anaheim Sends Etem, Karlsson to Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club reassigned centers Emerson Etem and William Karlsson to American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Etem, 22, has two goals and two points in 21 games with Anaheim this season. In 2013-14, the 2010 first round draft pick put up 24 goals and 54 points in 50 games with Norfolk in the AHL. The Long Beach, California native has 12 goals and 25 points in 88 career NHL games. In 97 AHL contests, the 6-foot-1, 206-pounder logged 38 markers and assisted on 33 more.

Karlsson, 21, played 16 games for the Ducks this season and logged 2 goals and an assist. Last season with Norfolk, the rookie from Sweden scored twice and bagged seven helpers. In eight playoff games with the Admirals, Karlsson tallied a goal and three points. Anaheim drafted the 6-foot center in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft with the 53rd overall selection.
