Penguins Assign D'Agostino to W-B/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Nick D'Agostino to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced today.

D'Agostino has collected a goal, three assists and two penalty minutes in five games with the Nailers this season. The 23-year old, second-year defenseman has also made one appearance for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

In 2013-14, D'Agostino posted 10 points (1G-9A) and 15 penalty minutes in 48 games for the Penguins as well as three assists in seven contests with Wheeling. A native of Bolton, Ontario, D'Agostino was a seventh-round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins (210th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton heads to Hershey on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for a battle against the Bears. The Penguins are back on home ice next Saturday, Nov. 29 as they host the St. John's IceCaps at 7:05 p.m.
