Coyotes Assign Lessio to Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Lucas Lessio to the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 21-year-old Lessio has appeared in three games with the Coyotes this season, totaling two penalty minutes (PIM).

The 6-foot-1, 212-pound native of Maple, Ontario has recorded 5-3-8 and 14 PIM in 14 games with the Pirates this season. He ranked tied for the team lead in goals and third in points at the time of his recall.

Lessio was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (56th overall) in the 2011 Entry Draft.
