Penguins Loan Boak to Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that Alex Boak has been loaned to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).

Boak signed with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on July 15, following four seasons at Clarkson University. The 24-year old from Norwood, New York has appeared in five games this season with the Penguins, registering 10 penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating.

Boak totaled seven goals, 24 assists and 357 penalty minutes over 148 games with the Golden Knights from 2010-14. He went on to make his pro debut last spring with the Nailers, where he skated in eight games and recorded 24 penalty minutes.
