Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that they will be teaming up with The Rochester Knighthawks and The American Red Cross to hold a very important blood drive on Saturday, March 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. This blood drive is part of the Amerks and Knighthawks Health & Wellness Weekend. That night, the Knighthawks will be in action as they play host to the Chicago Shamrox. Faceoff is set for 7:35 p.m.
Due to recent weather conditions, the blood supply in Rochester has dropped, making blood donations very necessary. Donations from this blood drive will ensure that local hospitals have the blood required for their patients in need.
All blood donors at the event will receive a voucher for a free ticket to a Rochester Americans or Rochester Knighthawks game. Each donor will be entered into a special drawing to win free Amerks memorabilia and an autographed Knighthawks jersey.
All donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 with parental permission and must weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. Donors can call 1-800-Give Life to schedule a blood donation appointment. For more information, please contact the Amerks Office at (585) 454-5335.
