Moose sign Estrada to PTO

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have signed forward Kevin Estrada from the Victoria Salmon Kings to a pro tryout contract.

Estrada, 26, has played in 59 games so far this season with the Salmon Kings where he's scored 18 goals and 30 assists for 48 points to currently rank third in team scoring . The Surrey, BC native also appeared in 112 career games in the AHL with Lowell and Albany. In that time, he has seven goals and 17 assists for 24 points and 76 penalty minutes. His best season was in 2005-06 with the River Rats where he scored five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in 59 games. He has also played in 69 career games in the ECHL where he's scored 20 goals and 36 assists for 56 points and 53 penalty minutes.

Schulz was originally drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the third round, 91st overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
