Amerks Announce Roster Moves

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans Vice President of Hockey Operations Ted Nolan announced today that the Florida Panthers have reassigned seven players to the Amerks. In order to make room for the arrival of its reinforcements, Rochester also released three players from its active roster.

Returning to the Amerks are forwards Evgeny Dadonov, Shawn Matthias, Victor Oreskovich, and Steve MacIntyre; defensemen Jason Garrison and Keaton Ellerby; and goaltender Tyler Plante. The group will join Rochester as it prepares to kickoff the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs against the Abbotsford Heat in the best-of-seven North Division semifinals. Game 1 is slated for Thursday, April 15th at The Blue Cross Arena. Rochester earned home-ice advantage for the First Round after clinching second place in the American Hockey League's North Division, finishing its 54th season in the AHL with a 44-33-2-1 (91 points) record.

Leaving the Amerks is forward Andrew Lord, defenseman Corey Syvret and goaltender Alex Petizian. Lord returns to the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL after recording 17 penalty minutes in three games with the Amerks. Syvret and Petizian been released from their respective amateur tryouts after making their AHL debuts with the Amerks this past week.

First-round playoff tickets are available for advance purchase starting as low as $10 for 200-Upper End seating, while the premium 100-level seats are priced at $19. All prices will increase $1 for all day-of-game purchases.

The Amerks are also offering first-round specific group pricing (10 or more people), starting as low as $10.

Current season ticket holders are able to purchase the first round package, beginning at just $50. If season ticket holders wish to purchase on a per-game basis, they may purchase their season seat up to 48 hours before the game of their choice.
