Amerks and Knighthawks Trim TV Schedule for Rest of Season
February 9, 2011 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Rochester Knighthawks News Release
(Rochester, February 9)... The Rochester Americans and Knighthawks announced today that they will reduce the number of TV games for the remainder of the 2010-11 season. The move will allow the team to evaluate its TV plan for the upcoming season.
"We have been hearing from our fans, and other concerned people, that airing all of our games on TV has affected our attendance. To get a gauge of whether or not our decision to air all our games on TV has contributed to our paid attendance figures we are scaling down our TV schedule for the rest of the season. We will continue to show a limited number of Amerks and Knighthawks games for the remainder of this season and do a thorough review of our local TV policy at the end of the year. The number of Amerks and Knighthawks games aired next year we will be determined during the offseason," said Amerks and Knighthawks President Lewis Staats.
The Amerks have altered their schedule to include four of their remaining home games LIVE on Time Warner Cable. The next TV game is scheduled for Friday, February 18th as Rochester hosts the Hershey Bears. Check schedule below for broadcast dates.
