Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans along with the Village at Allen & Fairview will "Show Their Blue" this Friday, as the groups team up to raise awareness and help prevent child abuse in Collin County.
Allen Americans and Evansville Icemen players, Ice Angels, and Americans staff will join together on Friday morning by dipping their hand in blue paint and putting their hand print on to a huge sign that will be displayed in Allen Event Center on Friday night, when the Americans face the Evansville IceMen.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, so as a part of the awareness night, the Allen Americans players will wear special pregame jerseys on Friday evening that will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the game, with the money raised going to the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County (CACCC) to Stand Up for Collin County children that have been victims of child abuse or neglect.
"Being a father of three beautiful children, I'm so happy to be a part of this event," said Americans forward Chad Costello. "I hope we can raise a lot of money to help those kids in need."
