Americans Put up Valiant Effort, Fall 2-1 in Kamloops

The Americans traveled to Kamloops today for their last regular season game against the Blazers. Tri-City was unable to gain a lead through the night and ultimately fell 2-1 finishing their season series against Kamloops 1-3-0-0.

Orin Centazzo opened scoring at 5:44 first period with a power play goal for the Blazers. He added the game-winning goal even strength in the second period.

Sasha Mutala scored five-hole off a one-timer later that period to cut Kamloops' lead in half. The 2019 NHL Draft prospect's goal came on the power play, assisted by Riley Sawchuk and Nolan Yaremko. The Americans made a strong third period push, but were unable to get past Blazers goaltender Ian Ferguson again.

Tri-City finished 1/4 on the power play and Kamloops 1/5.

Beck Warm stopped 43 of 45 shots faced. He is now 133 saves away from the franchise record of 1,849 set by Eric Comrie in 2013-14.
