
Americans Host St Charles on Military Appreciation Night in Allen

Allen, Texas -It's Game Day in Allen as your Allen Americans finish the 2-game set against the St. Charles Chill tonight at Allen Event Center and the puck drops at 7:05 pm .
The Americans are 6-1-0 lifetime against the St Charles Chill, with a perfect 3-0-0 record at Allen Event Center. The Americans only loss to St Charles came on Saturday, March 8th at Family Arena, a 5-2 setback in regulation.
Tyler Ludwig leads the team in power play goals with 12 and is third overall in the CHL in that category. Ludwig scored his 19thgoal of the season last night on the power play and is now just one goal shy of 20 on the year. His 19 is an Allen Americans all-time high for a defenseman.
Jamie Schaafsma scored his 200th professional goal last night, number 18 on the season, and is now second on active roster in scoring one point behind Spencer Asuchak and Tyler Ludwig.
Spencer Asuchak scored a hat trick last night and now has two five point games in his last four outings. Asuchak now has 19 goals on the regular season and leads the CHL in shorthanded goals, with five.
Both St Charles goals last night game from former Allen Americans players, as both John Snowden and Charles Lachance scored power play goals in the third period.
It's Military Appreciation Night in Allen, as the team will wear special Military-themed sweaters that will be auctioned off after the game.
