Americans Go Back To Classroom To Launch School Program

ALLEN, Texas - The Allen Americans announced the launch of their school program today with visits to two local Allen Independent School District elementary schools.

Chris Whitley, Tobias Whelan, Jarret Lukin and Liam Huculak will be reading to second and third graders from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Chandler Elementary while Bill Loupée, Britt Dougherty and Brandon Straub will be with first grade classes at Vaughan Elementary from 1:30-2:00 p.m.

The Americans program is not limited to one subject and encompasses reading, geography, math and motivational speeches. In addition to learning from the Americans, each child will receive a free kids ticket to a 2009-10 regular season game.

The Americans, the Dallas Stars' CHL affiliate, began play this fall in the newly built Allen Event Center in The Village at Allen. Season tickets, partial plans and group tickets are on sale now, and corporate partnerships are also available. Ticket plans start as low as $77 per seat.
