Americans Game Tonight Vs Tulsa Postponed

ALLEN, Texas- The Allen Americans, in conjunction with the Tulsa Oilers and the Central Hockey League, have announced that tonight's game between the two clubs has been rescheduled due to weather.
The game, originally scheduled to take place at 7:30 PM tonight at the Allen Event Center, has been moved to Tuesday, February 8th at the same time.
All major school districts in the Dallas/Collin County area are closed today for the second straight day, while many residents in the area are dealing with rolling blackouts.
Meanwhile, Tulsa will just begin to dig out from a massive blizzard which dropped record amounts of snow on the city and surrounding areas. U.S. 75, which is the main highway connecting Tulsa to Allen, has been closed intermittently throughout Oklahoma.
The Americans will honor any ticket from the rescheduled game on February 8th. If fans cannot make it to the game on the 8th, the option will be available to exchange tickets for any remaining 2010-11 regular season home game.
"The weather this week in many areas of the country has certainly created some obstacles and made travel difficult on several teams," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner. "But the safety of our fans, players and staffs is paramount and it is in everyone's best interest to postpone this game."
The Americans will skate Friday night at home against the Texas Brahmas, with puck drop slated for 7:30 PM. Tickets are available on www.allenamericans.com, at the Allen Event Center Box Office, or by calling 972-912-1000.
