Americans Comeback Falls Short

Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, fell to the Kansas City Mavericks on Saturday night 5-3.
The victory completes the three-game sweep of the Americans with victories on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The loss was the sixth in a row for Allen, who remains winless in November and winless at home.
"A bad start for us was the difference," stated Zach Pochiro. "Giving up two power play goals in the opening period and taking six penalties really hurt. I like the fact we didn't quit and fought back in the third, but it wasn't good enough."
Kansas City went two for seven on the power play, while Allen went one for five. The Americans outshot Kansas City 19 to 5 in the final frame.
