Americans Battle Missouri Saturday in 1st vs. 2nd Place Showdown

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans host their division rivals, the Missouri Mavericks, this Saturday night at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center in the Boxing Day Spectacular.
The Missouri Mavericks have lost just one time in regulation since their loss at Allen Event Center back on October 31st. Missouri, at 22-3-0-1, has the best record in the ECHL and a 12 point cushion over the second place Americans.
"They have been almost unbeatable," said Americans Co-Captain Chad Costello. "We will have to be at our best on Saturday, because both their goalies don't give up much, so you have to bury your opportunities when you get the chance."
Allen is 1-1-0 against the Mavericks this season. The two teams will square off twice in the next ten days. Allen plays at Missouri on New Years Day at 4:00 pm.
