ALLEN, Texas- The Allen Americans have announced that they have launched the Allen Americans Junior Reporter Program. The Junior Reporter Program provides a great opportunity for high school students interested in sports media to get an inside look at working Media Relations and Broadcasting departments.

Students will get the opportunity to experience the sports world through the eyes of broadcasters, journalists and public relations practitioners.

Those involved in the program will receive: -An Allen Americans press pass -A seat in the press box during home games -The ability to write stories or features which may be published on Americans website -Post game interviews with players or coaches -The chance to observe and participate in a live game broadcast -The opportunity to meet with reporters who regularly cover the team

Students from all neighboring school districts are eligible to participate in the program, and can become involved by sending an email to Director of Broadcasting Tommy Daniels at tommy@allenamericans.com, indicating their interest, and how they believe the program could be beneficial.

"This is an outstanding opportunity for students who are interested in a career in sports media," Daniels said. "The ability to work closely with a professional sports team is invaluable for young people looking to understand what our industry is all about."

Students will attend home games, primarily on Friday and Saturday nights. Dinner will be provided, and professional behavior and attire is expected while in the press box.
