Winnipeg 11, St. Paul 3

Winnipeg scored five in the third inning and four in the sixth as they rolled past St. Paul 11-3. Winnipeg's Justin Bass and Brian Joynt each hit a solo home run, and Goldeyes SS Wes Long went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Winnipeg C Luis Alen had two hits in four at-bats and collected two RBIs, and LF Jon Weber went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Winnipeg starting pitcher Chris Salamida earned the win, pitching six innings and allowing one earned run on five hits while striking out eight hitters. For the Saints, CF Jonathan Van Every homered and doubled in a losing effort.

Sioux Falls 5, Gary SouthShore 2

Sioux Falls 1B Brandon Sing batted in three runs, helping the Pheasants beat the Gary SouthShore RailCats 5-2. Sioux Falls scored two runs in the first when Sing hit a two-RBI double to give the Pheasants an early 2-0 lead. Sing doubled in the fourth inning and came around to score on CF Reggie Abercrombie's sacrifice fly. The Pheasants scored one run in the fifth and Sing homered in the sixth to make it 5-0 Pheasants. Sioux Falls would concede a run in the seventh and ninth inning, but held on to win 5-2. Pheasants starting pitcher Kyle Ruwe was credited with the win. Ruwe tossed six innings and allowed just one run on two hits. Aaron Cotter earned the save for Sioux Falls. For the RailCats, SS Kyle Haines went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Grand Prairie 5, Fort Worth 3

The Grand Prairie AirHogs capitalized on a five-run sixth inning to defeat Fort Worth 5-3. The game was scoreless through five innings. In the top of the sixth, AirHogs LF Tyler Henley walked with the bases loaded to make it 1-0 Grand Prairie. The next batter, AirHogs C Chris McMurray blasted a grand slam to cap off the five-run inning. The grand slam was first home run of the season and his only hit in the game. AirHogs starting pitcher Josh Rainwater was credited with the win, pitching six innings and allowing one earned run on eight hits. Grand Prairie reliever Jon Hunton surrendered a run in the ninth, but still recorded the save. For Fort Worth, 1B Trent Lockwood went 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run and two doubles in a losing effort.

Sioux City 9, Fargo-Moorhead 3

Seven Sioux City hitters batted in a run as the Explorers downed the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 9-3. Explorers LF TJ Bohn had a homer and two RBIs, and DH Tyler Goodro also homered in the game. Explorers CF Dustin Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and C Ray Serrano also went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Explorers starting pitcher Matt Gibbs was credited with the win. Gibbs tossed five innings and allowed three runs on six hits while striking out two batters.

Wichita 7, Kansas City 6

The Wichita Wingnuts scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to edge the Kansas City T-Bones 7-6. Wingnuts 3B Juan Richardson tripled in a run to tie the game 6-6, and C Edwin Bellorin drew a walk with the bases loaded to bring home the winning run. Bellorin collected two RBIs on the night, and RF Josh Workman went 1-3 at the plate with two RBIs for Wichita. Wichita reliever Marcos Tabata earned the win for his scoreless ninth inning. For the T-Bones, SS Jimmy Mojica went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in a losing effort.

Shreveport-Bossier 6, Amarillo 5 (10 Innings)

Shreveport-Bossier scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings, and scored again in the bottom of the tenth to beat Amarillo 6-5. Captains DH Palmer Karr Jr. belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at 5-5 and send the game into extra innings. The Captains held the Sox to zero runs in the top of the tenth. In the bottom half of the frame, RF Bryan Sabatella hit the game-winning RBI single that drove in LF Alex Cowart. Shreveport-Bossier reliever Dan Griffin earned the win for his scoreless two innings pitched. For Amarillo, DH Lee Cruz had two RBIs in the game.

El Paso 6, Lincoln 2

El Paso capitalized on a four-run first inning to down Lincoln 6-2. Diablos 1B Javier Brito singled in a run in the first, and DH Kyle Nichols doubled in a run in the inning. Brito collected two RBIs in the game and scored a run for the Diablos. El Paso 3B Johan Garcia and CF Kory Drew each had an RBI in the game. El Paso starting pitcher Reymond Cruz was credited with the win. Cruz allowed two runs on eight hits in seven innings pitched, and he struck out five batters.
