Sioux Falls 8, Sioux City 4

With the score tied at three runs apiece, Pheasants C Henry Contreras sparked a four-run fourth with a two-run double, one of his club's seven extra-base hits, and Sioux Falls went on to win, 8-4. Contreras also scored a run on his 2-for-4 night. Sioux Falls trailed only once after Sioux City opened the game with a one-run first. But in the bottom of the inning, Sioux Falls put three runs of their own on the board, never trailing again. Sioux City C Tyler Goodro scored a run and batted one in on his 2-for-4 night for the Explorers in a losing effort.

Grand Prairie 3, Fort Worth 1

With the Grand Prairie offense struggling to put runs across the plate, Fort Worth starting pitcher Jason Jennings kept the Cats offense at bay, allowing just one run over eight innings of work with four strikeouts. And his yeoman's effort paid off when the AirHogs pushed three runs across in the eighth to take a two-run advantage that held for the win. It was Jennings's sixth win of the season. The decisive eighth inning was a solid team effort, with four hits, three of them one-run singles. AirHogs C Zane Chaves batted in the final run of the game to finish off his 2-for-4 evening. The Cats' lone run came via a third-inning Kelley Gulledge single.

Shreveport-Bossier 6, Amarillo 5

Through the first eight innings, the Captains had registered seven hits but could muster just one run while Amarillo had already scored five. But in the ninth frame, something lit a fire under the Captains, who put together five runs, ending with a walk-off Palmer Karr Jr. single. Alex Cowart got the scoring in the ninth started with a bases-clearing double that brought his club to within one run of the Sox. It was Cowart's only hit of the night. Captains relief pitcher Jake McCarter earned the win after throwing a one-hit ninth. Sox DH Tim Alberts tied Cowart for the game-high in RBI with three to highlight a 2-for-4 night.

Kansa City 11, Wichita 8

The T-Bones batted around the lineup and scored eight runs before a single out was registered in the top of the third inning, taking a 9-5 lead they would not surrender. The final run across the plate in the inning belonged to Jay Hulett, who scored three times in the game to go along with an RBI and three hits in four at-bats. Hulett got on base thanks to a ground rule double, one of three extra-base hits for Kansas City. The Wingnuts answered with three runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to come within one. But that was as close as they would come for the rest of the night.

St. Paul 2, Fargo-Moorhead 1 (In progress - Top 6)

The Saints lead the RedHawks by one run after five innings in St. Paul. Saints CF Jonathan Van Every tied the score at 1-1 with a solo home run to open the bottom of the third. The Saints got another run in the fourth to put them ahead of Fargo-Moorhead.
