Sioux City 2, Fort Worth 1 (11 innings)

Sioux City CF TJ Bohn hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th to lift the Explorers over Fort Worth 2-1. Bohn's 12th bomb of the season led off the 11th, after the game had been deadlocked since the Explorers tied the game in the seventh. Both starters got no decisions in effective outings, as Fort Worth's Jason Fernandez allowed one run in seven innings, and Sioux City's David Welch also surrendered one in eight innings. Each team had several chances, as both offenses piled up double-digit hits and left a combined total of 16 runners on base.

Wichita 8, St. Paul 0

Five Wichita hurlers combined to throw a five-hit shutout, and the top of the lineup showed up early to down St. Paul 8-0. Starter Gabe Medina allowed just two hits and no runs but was lifted in the fifth for reliever Brandon Mathes, who got the next five outs and picked up his third win of the season. From there, three more relievers surrendered just two hits and maintained the shutout over the final three innings. Seven of the eight Wingnut runs came in the first four innings, led by a three-run double in the fourth by 3B Mike Bell. All but one starter for Wichita tallied at least one base hit.

Sioux Falls 5, Lincoln 1

Sioux Falls' big guns, CF Reggie Abercrombie and LF Beau Torbert, each hit homers and powered the Pheasants to a 5-1 victory over Lincoln. Torbert hit a solo shot in the second to put Sioux Falls on the board, and Abercrombie added a three-run homer an inning later. The two were part of a top five in the lineup that went 12-for-20 on the night. Sioux Falls starter Ben Moore improved to 9-5 by striking out 10 batters and allowing just four hits and one run in seven innings.

Grand Prairie 7, Shreveport-Bossier 1

Grand Prairie starter Greg Krause surrendered just a single unearned run over seven innings, and the AirHogs broke out of a slump by pounding Shreveport-Bossier 7-1. Krause allowed seven hits and struck out eight on his way to his third win of the season, and reliever Chris Martin pitched a scoreless final two frames. Offensively, the AirHogs got at least one hit from every position player, and built a 6-0 lead that they never gave back.

Pensacola 5, El Paso 4

Pensacola tied the game with an RBI single by SS Adolfo Gonzalez in the seventh, and took the lead for good in the eighth to beat El Paso 5-4. El Paso starter Shaun Ellis hadn't allowed a run in the first three innings, but surrendered solo tallies in each of the next five innings. And for Pensacola, after starter Austin Quinn struggled, reliever Ron Hill took the win by allowing just one hit in 2.2 innings, and Seth Overbey earned his third save. In the loss, El Paso LF J.D. Reininger tallied four hits.
