Sioux City 10, St. Paul 0
Leading 1-0 entering the fourth inning, Sioux City plated eight runs in the bottom of the fourth and rolled from there to a 10-0 shutout against St. Paul. Explorers C Ray Serrano continued to swing a hot bat, going 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Sioux City DH Christopher Errecart also homered, and was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI. Explorers starting pitcher Jae Jung scattered eight hits over seven scoreless innings to earn the win, his fourth of the year.
Shreveport-Bossier 8, Pensacola 5
Shreveport-Bossier scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back en route to the win. Captains 2B Uriak Marquez led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI. 1B Andres Rodriguez also had a good game offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double, three runs score and a RBI. Shreveport-Bossier reliever Marcus Salmon came away with the win, his first of the season while Hector Carrasco earned his fifth save.
Grand Prairie 7, El Paso 1
Grand Prairie starting pitcher Daniel Schmidt allowed one run on seven hits over five innings to lead the AirHogs past El Paso. With the win, Schmidt ran his record to 1-0 on the year. All but one hitter in the AirHogs lineup recorded at least one hit, led by 2B Joe Spiers, who was 3-for-4 with a run scored. RF Aaron Garza homered for Grand Prairie and finished the game 1-for-5 with a pair of RBI.
Fort Worth 10, Wichita 4
Leading, 5-4, entering the ninth inning, Forth Worth put the game away with five runs in the frame. LF Kennard Bibbs led the way at the plate for the Cats, going 3-for-5 with a triple, while 2B Nick McCoola pitched in with a 2-for-5 effort in which he also triple, scored and drove in three runs. Fort Worth starting pitcher Dwayne Pollok allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out three in 6.2 innings to earn the win, his fourth of the season.
Sioux Falls 3, Lincoln 3 (Suspended - Rain)
The game between Sioux Falls and Lincoln was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the 10th inning. The game will be resumed Wednesday at 6:05 PM CT with the regularly scheduled game to follow.
