El Paso got a great outing from starting pitcher Josh Neitz and blew the game open with a seven-run ninth inning to win easily against St. Paul. Neitz allowed one run on five hits while striking out three in seven innings of work to earn the win and improve to 5-2. Diablos SS Arnoldo Ponce led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a solo home run. El Paso CF Kennard Bibbs also had a good game, going 2-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI.

Wichita starting pitcher Derek Blacksher allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out four in eight strong innings to lead the Wingnuts to a 4-3 win against Sioux City. With the win, Blacksher ran his record to 9-2 on the season, tying him with Lincoln's Jarrett Gardner and Joel Kirsten for the most wins in the American Association. Wingnuts LF Greg Porter supplied the bulk of the offense with one swing of the bat. With no one out in the eighth inning, Porter took a 2-2 pitch out of the yard for a three-run homer, his only hit of the game. Wichita reliever Joe D'Alessandro made the lead hold up in the ninth and earned his eighth save.

Fort Worth CF Brian Fryer was 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI while 1B John Allen was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored to lead the Cats to an easy win. Fort Worth starting pitcher Joel Kirsten allowed one run on six hits while striking out five in seven innings of work to pick up the win and improve to 9-4 on the season. His nine wins are tied for the most in the American Association. Pensacola C Adam Deleo was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the losing effort.

Grand Prairie 7, Shreveport-Bossier 2

Grand Prairie 1B Javier Brito and C JB Tucker combined to go 6-for-8 with a pair of home runs and five RBI in leading the AirHogs to a 7-2 win. The duo provided more than enough run support for starting pitcher Matt Green, who allowed two runs on eight hits while fanning eight in seven innings to earn the win and improve to 5-5 on the season. The win for Grand Prairie moves the team to within 2.5 games of first place in the South Division.

Sioux Falls 5, Lincoln 4 (11 innings)

After the Saltdogs scored three times in the eighth inning to erase a 4-1 deficit and send the game into extra innings, the Canaries were able to come up with a run in the 11th and hang on for the win. Sioux Falls 2B Joe Anthonsen got aboard with a one-out single and advanced to third on a single by the next hitter, SS Tim Hutting. LF Cody Haerther followed with a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Anthonsen for what proved to be the game winner.
