The Wichita Wingnuts scored early and often en route to an easy victory over the Pensacola Pelicans. The Wingnuts scored five runs in the first inning, three in the second and one in the third to go up 9-0 after three innings and would cruise from there to a win. The 1-2-3 hitters for Wichita, SS Josh Horn, CF Nick Blasi and LF Greg Porter went a combined 9-for-17 at the plate with seven runs scored and five RBI. Porter hit his 13th home run of the year. Wingnuts starting pitcher Derek Blacksher threw solid baseball through seven innings to pick up his seventh win of the season. Blacksher allowed only one walk and three hits while fanning five Pensacola batters. 3B Lester Contreras went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Pelicans in defeat.

St. Paul 7, Sioux Falls 1

HR: SF-Patrick Reilly (3); SP-Jason Cooper (4)

St. Paul starting pitcher Mitch Wylie allowed one run on four hits while striking out five in 7 2/3 innings to lead the Saints to an easy win at home. Saints 1B Jason Cooper was 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI to lead the offensive effort. St. Paul DH Josh Alley also had a good game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Sioux Falls 1B Patrick Reilly accounted for the Canaries' only run with a solo blast in the third inning. It was his third home run of the season.

Grand Prairie 2, Fort Worth 1

Grand Prairie 1B Javier Brito and C JB Tucker each hit solo home runs in the second inning to lead the AirHogs to a 2-1 win against Fort Worth. Grand Prairie starting pitcher Dimitri Camareno made those two runs hold up as he allowed one run on five hits and struck out six in 6 2/3 innings to earn his third win. Brito was the only AirHogs hitter with more than one hit. He finished the game 2-for-3. Grand Prairie closer James Morrison tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his 11th save.

Lincoln 4, Sioux City 3

Trailing 2-1 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Lincoln Saltdogs rallied for three runs to pull ahead 4-2, and went on to a 4-3 win at home. Saltdogs C Shawn McGill was 3-for-4 in the game and none of his hits were bigger than his two-out, two-run single in the seventh. McGill finished the game with three RBI. Lincoln starting pitcher Jarrett Gardner picked up the win to improve to 9-4. Gardner allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings of work. Saltdogs closer Chris Thompson notched his 22nd save with a scoreless ninth.

El Paso 8, Shreveport-Bossier 4

@ El Paso, TX. Time: 3:13 Attendance: 1,729 W: Josh Neitz (4-2) L: Logan Williamson (8-3) S: None HR: None

After jumping out to an 8-0 lead after five innings, the El Paso Diablos were able to sustain a couple of Shreveport-Bossier rallies and come away with an 8-4 win. The first three hitters in the Diablos lineup combined for 10 of the teams 16 hits, led by DH Jorge Alvarez who was 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI. El Paso starting pitcher Josh Neitz picked up the win to run his record to 4-2 on the season. Neitz allowed three earned runs on eight hits while striking out five in 6 1/3 innings.
