Amarillo 14, El Paso 2
Six Amarillo batters had multi-hit games, leading the Sox to a 14-2 rout of the El Paso Diablos. Sox DH Lee Cruz went 2-for-5 from the plate with three RBIs and 2B Matthew Tucker collected two hits and three RBIs and also scored a run. Also for the Sox, 1B Tim Alberts belted a two-run homer, his first on the season. Amarillo starting pitcher Travis Lawler conceded one run on seven hits in seven innings pitched, earning the win and striking out four hitters. Despite the El Paso loss, RF Stephen Douglas doubled twice and collected an RBI.
