Sioux Falls 11, El Paso 7

The Sioux Falls Pheasants scored seven runs in the eighth inning to rally from a 7-2 deficit and beat the El Paso Diablos, 11-7. Sioux Falls CF Reggie Abercrombie went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI while 2B Jake Taylor had three hits, scored two runs and had a RBI. Rightfielder Ridge Carpenter, LF Jared Bolden and 3B Cesar Nicolas each chipped in with two hits apiece for the Pheasants. Sioux Falls reliever Kyle Mertins was the winning pitcher as he allowed a hit and fanned one batter in two innings pitched. Mertins finished the season with a 4-1 record.

Rockland 5, Lincoln 4

Rockland jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings and would hold off a late Lincoln rally to win, 5-4. Boulders CF Chris Valencia went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI and LF John Smith had two hits and two runs scored. Rockland starting pitcher Pat Moran was the winner as he went six innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts. The win by Moran was his sixth of the season. For Lincoln in the loss, DH Nate Wilder had a 1-for-4 game with a home run.

Wichita 10, St. Paul 4

The Wichita Wingnuts collected 14 hits in the game as they defeated the St. Paul Saints by the score of 10-4. Wichita DH John Rodriguez had a 3-for-5 game with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored. Wingnuts LF Steve Stanley had two hits and three RBI while 3B Wilson Batista had two hits, a run scored and two RBI. Wichita starting pitcher Anthony Capra notched his third win as he allowed four earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts.

Grand Prairie 8, Amarillo 2

The Grand Prairie AirHogs rolled out to an 8-0 lead after four innings and would cruise to an 8-2 win over the Amarillo Sox. Grand Prairie DH Brian Myrow went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI while Kenny Held, who played every position on the field in the game, had three hits along with a run scored and a RBI. Grand Prairie starting pitcher Josh Strawn was the winner as he tossed seven strong innings allowing one unearned run on five hits while striking out three batters. With the victory, Strawn finished 7-5 on the season.
