New Jersey 4, Kansas City 2

New Jersey Jackals RF Francisco Caraballo paved the way for his team to beat Kansas City 4-3 with three RBI. He was 2-for-4 on the day to lead the team in hits. Kansas City DH Justin Bass also had two hits in three at bats and scored a run. New Jersey jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning when 2B Gaetano Giunta scored after reaching base on a leadoff walk. The Jackals padded the lead in the sixth with two runs but the T-Bones responded with a two-spot of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Bass gave the T-Bones their first run of the game with a triple in the sixth and scored in the next at bat when 2B Sean Henry singled. The Jackals added on another run in the seventh. Jon Kibler got the win for New Jersey on 5.0 IP giving up four hits and two runs.

St. Paul 4, Gary SouthShore 2 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

The St. Paul Saints put up two runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take the second game of a double header from the Gary SouthShore Railcats. Saints RF Jose Hernandez, LF Willie Cabrera and 3B Tanner Townsend each went 2-for-3 on the night. Hernandez and Townsend both registered one RBI. Railcat C Craig Maddox was 2-for-2 with two RBI with a solo HR in the second inning. Robert Coe picked up the win for the Saints with 5.1 IP, giving up two runs on six hits.

Winnipeg 9, Amarillo 3

The Winnipeg Wingnuts put up four runs in the first inning and never looked back on their way to a 9-3 against the Amarillo Sox. Matthew Rusch earned the win in 5.1 innings of work giving up one unearned run on four hits. Wingnut DH Jon Weber had an impressive day at the plate with two RBI on a 3-for-5 day. He also scored two runs. After three straight singles to start the game Sox P Jack Spradlin walked in a pair of runs to put the Sox in an early hole. 3B Amos Ramon singled home another two runs with two outs in the first to put the Wingnuts up 4-0. For Amarillo, both 1B Cyle Hankerd and LF Matthew Tucker went 2-for-4. The Wingnuts put up another three runs in the eighth to salt the game away.

Grand Prairie 12, Laredo 4

The Laredo Lemurs took a one-run lead in the first inning, but once the Grand Prairie Airhogs bats got going, they took off to dominate the game 12-4. The Airhogs put up two runs in the fourth and then back-to-back four spots in the fifth and six innings to take control of the contest. Four different Airhogs had two RBI on the night while LF David Thomas and C Zane Chavez each had three hit nights. For the Lemurs, RF Luis Uribe and LF John Allen both went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Airhog 2B Chris McMurray hit his second homerun of the season in the top of the ninth to give Grand Prairie the final 12-4 advantage. P Josh Strawn won the game for the Airhogs with a 6.0 inning performance giving up two runs on eight hits.

Fargo-Moorhead 3, El Paso 1

The Red Hawks edged the El Paso Diablos 3-1 with the help of Alex Caldera's 6.1 innings of shut-out ball from the mound. The win gives the Red Hawks the series taking three of four from the Diablos. Caldera gave up just three hits while striking out seven Diablos. 1B Marcos Rodriguez got things started for the Red Hawks with an RBI single in the fourth that scored RF Jon Gaston. Fargo-Moorhead struck again in the eighth as 3B/SS Enrique Cruz singled home 3B Ryan Stovall to give the Red Hawks the 2-0 lead. The Red Hawks scored again to pad the lead which came in handy as the Diablos tallied a run in the bottom of the ninth when PH Jonathan Cisneros singled home a run. Red Hawk 1B had a nice game at the plate going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run.
