Wichita 4, Fort Worth 3 (12 Innings)
Wichita DH Josh Workman hit the game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the twelfth inning as the Wingnuts edged out the Fort Worth Cats 4-3 in an extra innings thriller. Wingnuts CF Ryan Patterson had three hits in six at-bats and collected an RBI. Wichita SS Josh Horn walked twice, went 2-for-3 from the plate, scored a run and drove in one base runner. Wichita right-hander Josh Dew came on in relief with two outs in the top of the tenth, retiring the final seven Cats hitters. Dew conceded just one hit while working a scoreless two and one-third innings and earning the win. For the Cats, DH John Allen belted a homerun in the fourth inning and CF Brian Fryer knocked a solo homer in the top of the fifth in a losing effort.
Grand Prairie 9, Kansas City 5
Grand Prairie scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning which powered the AirHogs to a 9-5 win against the Kansas City T-Bones. AirHogs 2B David Espinosa went 2-for-3 from the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored. Grand Prairie 1B John Alonso had two hits in five at-bats and collected two RBIs. Winning pitcher Jae Jung allowed just two runs on three hits in his six innings worked. For the T-Bones, DH Jonathan Jaspe and LF Brian Joynt each collected two RBIs in a losing effort on the night.
