AMARILLO TX - Collin Delia is making the most out of his opportunity for Merrimack College. The Sophmore goaltender notched another two wins, including a shutout against Merrimack College over the weekend. Delia has been starting for the injured Rasmus Tirannen who left a game at the 20 second mark.
Forward Hampus Gustafsson notched a goal on Friday as Merrimack blanked Clarkson 3-0. Delia stopped all 28 shots he faced.
Roman Ammirato was known as a power play man for the Amarillo Bulls last season. He used the special teams to get his first NCAA goal in Union's 8-2 loss to Western Michigan.
Defenseman Joe Grabowski notched another assist as Princeton beat Michigan State 3-1. Cody Freeman picked up a goal and two assists as Canisius College split games with Air Force winning 3-1 and losing 3-2.
Defenseman Luke Jenkins netted his first goal of the season as Army trimmed Bentley 3-2. Joe Kozlak earned an assist in Army's loss to Bentley.
At the Division III level, defenseman Brett Szajner fired his first NCAA goal as Utica College beat Hamilton 5-3.
It was a big weekend for Gage Christensen and Omar Mullen with Milwaukee School of Engineering. Christensen and Mullen each scored twice and assisted on two others to lift MSOE past Aurora 6-5. Mullen scored the game winner in overtime.
Brendan Vetter tallied his fourth goal of the season as Lawrence and Gustavus Adolphus played to a 3-3 tie. Trinity College split two of its games this past weekend blasting UMASS-Dartmouth 8-1, but then falling 5-3 to UMASS-Boston. TJ Sherman collected assists in both games, while Cole contributed a single helper.
The Amarillo Bulls return to the road for a pair of games against the Odessa Jackalopes at Ector County Coliseum on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. Fans can tune into action live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm on both nights.
Hockey is back at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20 when the Bulls host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm. Saturday is Toys For Tots Teddy Bear Toss Presented By Walmart and fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game. When the Bulls score their first goal, throw the Teddy Bears and Stuffed Animals on to the ice in support of this great cause.
