Stanley Cup Coming to the Ice Mine

The Keystone Ice Miners, in partnership with The Italian Oven, Zylka/House Attorney at Law, House Financial Services, Miller Light, and The Scottdale Bank and Trust company, are proud to announce that the Stanley Cup will be at the Ice Mine in Connellsville for the NAHL game between the Keystone Ice Miners and Johnstown Tomahawks on Saturday, December 20th.
For those unfamiliar, the Stanley Cup is the National Hockey League's championship trophy and has been around for over 100 years. It contains the names of players and coaching staffs of every NHL champion and is updated with each year's winning team. The Pittsburgh Penguins are three-time Stanley Cup champions. (90-91, 91-92, and 08-09)
Festivities will begin at 4:00 PM. Event sponsors will get to see the Cup and have the chance to take photos from 4:00-5:30 PM. From 5:30-6:30 season ticket holders and fans that purchase special access passes for $15 (including game admission) will get their turn. Gates open at the regular time of one hour prior to puck drop (6:30 PM) and the rest of the fans will be able to filter through starting at that time through the beginning of the 3rd period. Viewing will take place in the Ice Mine media room, on the office side of the building. Early entrance will take place on the office side while fans arriving at 6:30 will continue to enter through the lobby side. Regular ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (65+) and military members, and $7 for college students with I.D. and children between the ages of 5-17. Children under 5 are free. The game will begin at 7:30 PM and will also be recorded for tape-delay broadcast on local access TV by Armstrong Cable.
The Ice Mine is located at 5001 West Crawford Avenue in Connellsville. It is accessible from route 119 S via a right hand turn up the Crawford Avenue hill, and 119 N via a left hand turn on Arch Bridge Road shortly after the Laurel Mall plaza.
