Erie tallied four times in the first inning and held off the Senators for a 6-3 win over Harrisburg Sunday afternoon in Erie. Erie took five of the six games of the series, and they remain in first place with three weeks to play. The Senators scored a run in the second inning on four hits but had a runner thrown out at home.

Jake Irvin made his Double-A debut allowing four runs on six hits in 4.1 innings of work. He settled down after a tough first inning to retire 10 of the final 12 batters he faced. Danny Dopico worked two-thirds of an inning retiring both batters he faced. Alberto Guerrero allowed a two-run home run in his inning of work. Edgar Garcia and Zach Brzykcy both tossed scoreless innings in their Senators debuts.

Jake Alu had two doubles and a home fun. Mitch Longo homered in the ninth. Gilbert Lara had two hits in the game.

The Senators head home to play 13 games over two weeks with seven games against the Bowie Baysox and six games against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
