FULLERTON, Calif. -- Kevin Atlman's one-run complete game performance powered the Orange County Flyers past the St. George RoadRunners, 4-1, on Friday night at Goodwin Field.

RoadRunner starter Jon Dutton picked up his fifth loss of the season, going six innings giving up four runs (two earned), while striking out six and giving up seven hits.

The Flyers (21-23) started off the game swinging as the first three batters of the bottom of the first reached base to load the bases, Keith Ginter hit a sac fly to right field scoring Steve Boggs for a 1-0 lead. With runners on first and third, Jimmy Rohan was thrown out stealing second, but Tyler Keeble would use the opportunity to come home for a 2-0 Flyers lead.

St. George cut the lead in half when Dutton helped his own cause with an RBI single up the middle, but the Flyers were not done adding onto their lead as Orange County would score two more in the bottom of the sixth on a Jim Goethals double.

The Flyers finish off their four game series against the RoadRunners Saturday in a doubleheader with the first game at 5:05 pm. Game two of the doubleheader begins the Flyers second half of the GBL season in their 46th game.
