
All-Time WNBA Scoring Leader Diana Taurasi Just 18 Points Away from Unprecedented 10,000 Points

Mercury guard Diana Taurasi is only 18 points shy of extending her WNBA all-time scoring record with 10,000 regular season points as the Mercury head into a four-game homestand at Footprint Center, beginning on Thursday, August 3.
Taurasi passed Tina Thompson (7,488 points) in career points on June 18, 2017, and has continued to rise as the league's preeminent scorer, scoring every point of her career in a Phoenix Mercury uniform. No other player in league history has reached even 8,000 or 9,000 points.
