
Breanna Stewart Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Fourth Time in 2023

NEW YORK - The WNBA announced today that New York Liberty forward, Breanna Stewart, has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, July 24 to Sunday, July 30.
Through a busy four-game slate, Stewart averaged 25.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game.
On July 27,Stewart became the first player in WNBA history to record 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists in a half, and just the second player in WNBA history to record at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in a single game without a turnover - joining Sabrina Ionescu who did so against the Aces on August 6, 2022. At 23 games into her Liberty career, Breanna also solidified herself as the fastest Liberty player to 500 points as a member of the franchise.
On July 30,the New York native became the second player in WNBA history to record at least 500 points, 200 rebounds, and 50 threes through their first 25 games of the season, joining Maya Moore who did so during her MVP season in 2014.
This weekly honor is Stewart's 14th of her career, her fourth of the season, and the 53rd all-time in Liberty history.
