BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 46th annual Southern League All-Star Game, presented by Wind Creek Wetumpka, was held at Regions Field on Tuesday night, and it did not disappoint. The sellout crowd at Regions Field saw a great game, as the South Division rallied late to top the North Division, 9-5.
Southern League History: With 8,500 in attendance, the 2018 installment is the second-most attended Southern League All-Star Game in modern league history, behind only the 2013 game in Jacksonville, which drew 9, 373 fans.
Birmingham History: The first All-Star Game at Regions Field outdrew the 2009 Southern League All-Star Game at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The last time Birmingham hosted the game, 7,129 were in attendance as the North topped the South 7-0.
Regions Field Sellout: Tonight's game marks the 44th sellout in the six-year history of Regions Field, and the fourth of the 2018 season for the Birmingham Barons.
