Alex Lavoie Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (October 28, 2013 ) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Allen Americans forward Alex Lavoie has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending October 27, 2013.

Lavoie helped the Americans to three wins in three nights this past weekend scoring a pair of third period game winning goals and notching points in all three games. On Friday night, the 5-11, 180-pound forward broke a four-all tie with a goal with less than two minutes remaining in Allen's 6-4 win at St. Charles. Then on Saturday, Lavoie scored the game winning power play goal midway through the final period in his team's 3-2 win at Tulsa and then in Sunday's rematch, had an assist for the Americans in their 3-2 win versus the Oilers.

The Anjou, Quebec native leads all rookies with seven points this season (three goals, four assists).
